Raggy Folk
Raggy Folk are based on the idea of a traditional rag doll but with the unique shape of a Cawcas Doll. I use off-cuts of cloth that have been gathered from over 30 years of working in theatre costume departments. The dolls are made from tiny individual pieces, so even the smallest pieces of cloth can be used which eliminates the environmental impact of producing new fabrics.

Once I've cut and pieced together the basic doll, Stef paints the face and gives it some character, then I use that personality to influence the final look. I make additions like ears, hair or costume to really bring them to life.

This process means that each doll is unique, as even if the same fabric is used and similar dolls are produced, their faces and characters will be different.
